Well, it seems the more the NDP does their POLLING, the WORSE it is GETTING for them. Like I told you guys, REFERENDUM is REFERENDUM and GENERAL ELECTION is GENERAL ELECTION. By the TIME the GENERAL ELECTION is READY to be called, I am TOTALLY CONFIDENT that the SITUATION is going to be WORSE for the NDP.
You cannot WIN a GENERAL ELECTION talking all that NEGATIVE PROPAGANDA CRAP, which the NDP has been SPEWING from since the REFERENDUM, because it will CATCH UP to you EVENTUALLY.
And like I said, you cannot COMPARE what took place in the REFERENDUM to what is likely to take place in the GENERAL ELECTION. Because during the REFERENDUM you had one party playing POLITICS with the PROCESS while the other was just EDUCATING the PUBLIC on the CONTENT of the PROPOSED CONSTITUTION. How people took that to mean the NDP is going to win the GENERAL ELECTION is just MIND-BOGGLING to me.
Like I said, when everything is SETTLED and when the ULP POLITICAL MACHINE gets ROLLING for the GENERAL ELECTION, there can be no DOUBT which party is going to win, because it will come down to KITCHEN TABLE ISSUES, LEADERSHIP, QUALITY OF THE CANDIDATES and GOOD GOVERNANCE and PLANS and POLICIES. When you SPEAK to those ISSUES, it is not even a CONTEST of any WORTH, because the ULP will BEAT the NDP every SINGLE TIME.
As the WEEKS and MONTHS go by, the ULP is SIMPLY GOING to get STRONGER and STRONGER...this I have NO DOUBT. So what looks now like a 10-5 TRASHING of the NDP will be a 15-2 TRASHING when the REAL NUMBERS come in from the GENERAL ELECTION.

Again, show me the raw data on these polls gathered by the pollster...some folks are so untruthful on this forum; that i need to see the genuine article before i accept these figures as gospel...you coming here giving me these unsubstatiated figures and "stories"...does nothing to sway my disbelieve about these phantom polls.

Whether you believe or disbelive the poll is really of little consequence to me. It is not my purpose to convince you of whether or not it exists. Like you say "this is not life or death... its just a phucking poll." -- which makes me wonder why you are so worked up over it and casting aspersions on my honesty. We can disagree all the time Saadiss, but i've never had reason to call you a liar. And I would hope that we had enough basic courtesy that you wouldn't call me one either.
Now. This site has about 10 active members. There's me, you, powa, vincy, andy, vince, femme, and a few others who I can't remember right now. Do you think I have time to be hatching some elaborate dishonest plot to... to... to what, exactly? And do you think that I should reveal the details of something I saw in semi-confidence to the 10 of you... to.. to.. to what?!? My brother, you must have an inflated sense of yourself, your friends, or this intimate little corner of the internet.
I will not tell you who showed me. so there. and if you knew as much as you say you know about polling, you would know who the pollster is from what i have already said. i assume the ulp is not going to release the poll data for multiple reasons -- 1, cuz it has info that is not flattering to them either; 2, cuz i may compromise their source; 3, cuz they have done similar polls (one of which i have also seen) and want to keep the details private for strategic reasons; 4, cuz its just a phucking poll. I had the info beforehand, and didn't share it either. That was powa's doing.
No, i've never done a poll of any kind. but i have read quite a few. i never said that the ulp had to declare their candidates to do a poll constituency-by-constituency. I said that what I SAW did not have constituency data... then i speculated that any such data would be suspect because of the lack of declared candidates. You can go around and ask constituents if they prefer ulp or ndp in every constituency -- but coming up with a 10-7, 17-0 or 9-8 result may depend on little things like the name of the candidate. Will the name hans king matter more or less than luke brown? Will people prefer ellsworth john or michelle fife vs. cummings? Will clayton burgin be coming back? How about girlyn miguel? How about jerrol thompson? etc. will your girl anesia be running somewhere? it might influence a vote or two, no?
Further, based on the number of people polled, it would amount to an average of less than 100 people per consituency. i dunno how statistically reliable that would be. Want more reasons? we all know there will be 17 constituencies, why waste time polling based on boundaries that wont be in existence by the time the election rolls around? They may have done it, but I didn't see that part. simple.
I won't waste my time to come on here talking about phantom polls or making up facts. I trust that you won't either. Lets try to keep it at that level, and avoid the whole liar liar pants on fire accusations. It's beneath u.

Nice try bro...when folks come on the forum and speak of polls and one is to take into account the "history" of such person on this forum...I have to question the existence of such poll IF THERE IS NO SUBSTANTIATED INFO ON IT....I have no problem with the result of the polls...What I have a problem with is when certain people on this forum of such partisan persuasion would just speak glibly of a Poll without giving any related information on the poll...You came on and coroborate the "story" of such a poll, but in the same vain of the other folks; failed to show any proof of such a poll being done.
What you want me to do is TO TAKE A LEAP OF FAITH and accept meekly and murmur not; your explanation to the existence of such a poll...well son, I am a bonafide skeptic...I do not accept things so easily...You may be absolutely correct, but the issue is IF I BELIEVE YOU OR NOT; based on the information provided thus far on these polls...I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU.

Your ignorance of conducting polls is quite glaring indeed...the very questions that you are asking are the very questions that one will used as a basis to create a poll...for instance, you stated "Will the name hans king matter more or less than luke brown?".. this is a PERFECT QUESTION FOR ANY POLLSTER WORTH IS SALT TO USE TO GET A SENSE OF WHO IS BEST SUITED TO RUN FOR OFFICE!!...This is why I said that there is no need to have either parties declare their slate of candidates...it all depends on the type of questions being asked...there is a methodology of using hypothetical candidates....so If I were NDP I would do a poll on Anesia to see if she is indeed viewed in the same light as A POLITICAL CANDIDATE ...as she was during the referendum; maybe some folks will have an issue with her as a pure politician...a well prepared poll will give you a sense of such thinking.
On a slightly different tangent...If I were you, I would desist from making assumptions about people's character on a forum. You do not know me, I do not know you...nor do I know anyone on this forum...My interaction with folks is based purely on what they write on the forum...and not by WHO I THINK THEY ARE...so you telling me that certain action or behavior is "beneath me" is neither here or there...such pseudo psychology doesn't work on me... I suggest you stick to the issues and forget about being some sort of morality police.

If you want to DISCUSS those ISSUES of yours, which we have DONE like a BILLION TIMES, just CREATE a THREAD SPECIFICALLY related to them and you can DISCUSS them to your HEART’S CONTENT.
