WHO SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FRAUD CALLED OBSESSION?

How can 3 international soca artists (destra, denise belfon & allison hinds) be promoted heavily on radio and tv for a show called Obsession and not one of them make an appearance? How can upto 1am the promoters of the show be collecting money at the door and guaranteeing that the artists will be performing? Who should be held responsible: CDC, Carnival Bands Association, HitzFm/SVGTV, the promoters? Who should refund the ticket money collected? Why was the fraud allowed to continue even though all of the above parties knew the artists weren't performing?

well well .. notice that the hot 97 bashers.. "yes we can" .. "soca detective" and the others who i can't remember are staying away from this topic ... had it been a 97 event and the artists advertised were a no show.. i am sure they would have flooded the forum ..
I notice that you admit that it was the promoters of the show who were "collecting money at the door and guaranteeing that the artists will be performing" and this basically answers your question as to who is responsible for any refunds.

Everyone who wants to be truthful will remember that there was a press conference where the promoters and sponsors were present, and where the event was launched. There, it is was clearly reported on in the newspapers, tv and on several radio stations that the show was a private show by Connections Entertainment in conjunction with the CBA.

Hitz FM/ SVGTV, the National Lottery, SKR Beverages, the CDC, Courts, Hairoun Beer, FairTrade, NIPI were all sponsors of Obsession. Notice how 97 conveniently leaves out these corporate sponsors who advertise on that station, when it talks about responsibility?

Are disappointed patrons to show up on the doorsteps of Courts to demand back their money? Will Lukey pay, for example, a disgruntled mas player who did not get his or her full costume in Gatorade Dragons?

Me hear dat the mc and the Hitz dj's nah get pay for performing last nite. Me also hear the CBA nah get dem $15,000 yet from the promoters.

What happened was unfortunate for Vincy Mas, for the patrons, for the sponsors of the event, the artistes who were contracted and did not perform, for real lovers of this country, and anyone who attempts to use this incident to further an agenda of selfishness and hate will be seen for who they really are.

Buh wait, 97 "loves Carnival"... LMAO.
