Bruno Mars is closing out the year with a new album. The Grammy-winning crooner is readying a new single and video for release next month.
According to Sirius XM programmer Mikey Piff, “Locked Out of Heaven” will serve as the first single off Bruno’s sophomore album. The song is set to premiere in early October, while a video is already in the works with director Cameron Duddy.
The project marks the follow-up to Bruno’s 2010 breakthrough debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which spawned the hit singles “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade,” and “The Lazy Song.”
“I want to have fun on this next album,” the 26-year-old previously told Ryan Seacrest. “I think that’s the most important key, especially now that I’ve been on the road and am playing a lot of shows. I have a little more of a vision than I think I did with Doo-Wops & Hooligans.”
The album, due in December, is already in the can. “Over a year workin on it and now Im finally finished. My 2nd album is complete!!!!!” tweeted Bruno.
