
Mavado has stepped forward to address his no show at Sting 2012.
The Gully Gad, who was one of the headlining acts on the show, says the promoters did not pay him to perform on the show.
“Jamaica want to know why Mavado didn’t perform at Sting,” Mavado told Anthony Miller during an interview on ER. “It simple… If I get pay to perform, or my money reach at my yard or my management officer… then I will reach at your show because I am a businessman.”
Thousands of fans flocked Jamworld in Portmore to see Mavado perform at Sting last year but left disappointed after learning the dancehall star will not be gracing the stage.
