Joan Rivers got some backlash from Rihanna on Twitter after calling her an idiot for telling Oprah she still loves Chris Brown.
During an interview on Oprah’s Next Chapter aired earlier this month on OWN, Rihanna confessed her love for her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. During the heartfelt interview, Rihanna broke down while talking about her relationship with Brown, who viciously attacked her in February of 2009.
“Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown. Idiot! Now it’s MY turn to slap her,” Joan Rivers tweeted.
Known for her quick wit and fiery tongue, Rihanna quickly tweeted, “@Joan_Rivers wow u really do get slow when you’re old huh?”
“Slap on some diapers,” Rihanna later added.
Rivers tweeted a more somber tweet. “Honey, @Rihanna, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he’ll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS – Love to have you on Fashion Police!” Rivers tweeted.
The Bajan beauty may never take up that offer unless the show finds a new host.
