Some of the biggest names in music in our generation are deceased, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Whitney Houston and many more.
Long after their death these artists remained a relevant part of music and culture due to their musical genius.
Now hip-hop could soon get their hands on Tupac’s entire catalog, according to his mother Afeni Shakur.
In a statement to Billboard, Afeni says Tupca left behind a vast catalog of unfinished work.
“I believe it is our responsibility to make sure that Tupac’s entire body of work is made available for his fans,” Afeni says. “My son left many incomplete pieces and even more unfinished ideas. Using the blueprints he gave us, I am committed to fulfilling this duty.”
Afeni Shakur, who was head of Tupac’s estate, has also gave up management to Jampol Artist Management (JAM).
JAM manages acts like Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, and The Doors.
