Elle Varner goes against the norm in the powerful video for“I Don’t Care,” the latest single off her debut albumPerfectly Imperfect. Shot in Brooklyn, the Lenny Bass-directed clip shows interracial and same sex couples that are hopelessly in love despite disapproval from outside forces. Although they battle discrimination, love wins out at the end of the day.
The R&B songstress, who was recently endorsed by First Lady Michelle Obama, will kick off her “Perfectly Imperfect” tour on September 22 in Jackson, Mississippi, and join Nas for a show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on New Year’s Eve.
